Tug Dumbly, also known as Geoffrey Forrester, is an acclaimed Australian poet and performer born and raised in Nowra, now based in Sydney. With decades of experience in radio, live venues, and educational settings, Tug has been a resident poet on ABC radio and released two spoken-word CDs through the ABC. His work has earned him prestigious awards including the Banjo Paterson Prize for Comic Verse (twice), the Booranga Poetry Prize (2020), and the Bruce Dawe Poetry Prize (2023). Tug's poetry collections, including Son Songs (2018) and Tadpoems (2024), showcase his unique voice blending humor, nature, and keen observation.
