Thomas A. Wayment is an associate professor of Ancient Scripture at BYU. He received a PhD in New Testament Studies at Claremont Graduate University. His research interests have centered on the life of Jesus and the formation of the early Christian church. With Richard Holzapfel, he compiled and edited the three-volume work entitled The Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ. He is also the editor of The Complete Joseph Smith Translation of the New Testament: A Side-by-Side Comparison with the King James Version. He and his wife, Brandi, are the parents of two children.
