Author Description

Brother Line played on the men's basketball team at Brigham Young University (BYU) and served a mission in the Ecuador Quito Mission. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from BYU and later a doctorate in the sociology of religion from Purdue University. He is a full-time instructor at the Institute of Religion adja- cent to the University of Utah. In addition to being the editor-in-chief of Century Magazine, he teaches part-time in the religion department at BYU and for a variety of BYU continuing education programs, including EFY and Education Week. Brother Line has authored various articles and essays and has given symposia presentations on LDS doctrine, history, and religious instruction.Brother Line and his wife, Tami, are the parents of five children.
