Author Description

Rico Maranto grew up in the Bible Belt. He was the only member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in his Southern Baptist private school where he found his faith was frequently challenged. He later served as a missionary in Kentucky where he met Bible scholars at nearly every door who could quote scripture to support their criticisms of his sacredly held beliefs. Those experiences fortified him and encouraged him to gain a deeper understanding and testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. After his mission, he served in various Church leadership positions. After serving as a bishop for the second time, he suffered a severe and devastating crisis of faith. After enduring his crisis of faith, he desired to support others in crisis. Rico is a leadership development consultant. He was a contributing author for Servant Leadership in Action by Ken Blanchard and Renee Broadwell and authored two magazine articles and two children's books. He has an MS in Organizational Leadership and Human Resources Management and resides in Kingwood, TX, with his wife, Elizabeth, and their four children.
