Author Description

Lawrence Mullins grew up with his maternal grandparents. They were ranchers, so he grew up a ranch boy, developing the skills and abilities that come with growing up on a ranch. He graduated from Brigham Young University.After his faithful service as the bodyguard to President Spencer W. Kimball, Larry spent nearly twenty-four years as ranger for the state of Utah. During that time he also served as a reserve deputy for the Daggett County Sherif's office. He was an instructor for many POST classes, served as the range commander on many handgun, shotgun, and sniper training courses, and served as the county underwater dive commander, the county tracker, and, in addition, served several years as the EMT trainer and coordinator.Larry has served as an elders quorum president, a seventy, a gospel doctrine teacher, high priest group leader, stake high councilor, stake presidency counselor, CES instructor, a counselor in a student ward bishopric, and temple ordinance worker.
