After working more than thirty years in the live concert industry, I have many stories. My close friends have heard them many times. I decided I needed to make up something new to talk about with them. I started this story while caring for my mother when she was in hospice care. "There will be better days ahead," she said as the drugs made her drowsy. And I wrote. When she woke, I read to her. I spent many hours writing my story and reading to her. She died peacefully two weeks later, and I decided to finish what I had started.
Many real people in my life appear as characters in this fictional story. It was fun putting them in different situations and explaining what I chose for their often different-from-real-life occupations. I am confident they will enjoy what they read.
I was born in Pipestone, Minnesota, raised in Hayward, California, and graduated from Fresno State. I have resided in the Kansas City area since 1985
