Epic in Her Breath – Whispers of Women: Epic in Her Breath – Whispers of Women journeys into the timeless voices of women, weaving together myth and modern reflection. From the silenced strength of Draupadi and Kunti in the Mahabharata to the quiet endurance of Sita and Mandodari in the Ramayana, these poems reimagine their whispers as epics of resilience, tenderness, and courage. Blending mythology with contemporary echoes, the collection invites readers to discover how women's breath carries stories that transcend ages—turning silence into song and memory into power. From Mahabharata to Ramayana, women's voices rise—poetic, powerful, unforgettable.

Author Description

Dr. Belavadi K Prabhakar is a chemistry professor by vocation and a poet by spirit — blending scientific clarity with symbolic depth. Rooted in Kannada heritage and nurtured by bilingual expression, his work fuses mythology, mandala structures, and philosophical inquiry into visual and lyrical storytelling.
He explores poetry not as polished certainty, but as fraf — a space of sacred incompletion, graceful dispersal, and soul-echoes. His signature verse and illustrations evoke spiritual resilience, ecological interconnectedness, and the quiet dignity of forgotten heroes.
He has to his credit published Pooja books on Varasiddivinayaka, Swarnagowri, Varamahalakshmi and Panchayatana pooja which are well received by the public. A few books are under print.
Now he has ventured into kindling the imagination and creativity of children with short illustrated stories for them.
