Book Details

Ray Liversidge, an acclaimed Australian poet with works featured in over 100 journals worldwide, offers a compelling collection that spans decades of his literary journey. This anthology showcases his versatility, from poignant verse novels like *The Barrier Range*—adapted for the stage—to evocative poems addressing personal and historical themes, including war's horrors in *Oradour-sur-Glane* and intimate explorations of love, loss, and identity. Liversidge's masterful use of diverse forms, including the challenging Spenserian stanza, and his willingness to experiment with flash fiction, as seen in *…of a sudden*, reflect a bold, evolving voice. Readers will find rich narratives blending history, nature, and human emotion, illuminated by vivid imagery and thoughtful reflection. This New & Selected collection is a testament to Liversidge's enduring contribution to contemporary poetry and a captivating entry point for new audiences to experience his lyrical craftsmanship and profound insights into the human condition.
