Book Details

Jake Hunt joined the Navy at seventeen and in three years achieved his dream of landing on an aircraft carrier and becoming a naval aviator. The price is a transfer to helicopters and the 135th Assault Helicopter Company in Vietnam. The relentless demands of flying combat assaults from dawn to dusk are hard enough, but criminal forces have infiltrated the company.

Jake struggles with the emotional demands faced by any young man, with the beautiful Tran at Bearcat Base and sweethearts in the USA and Australia. But they must take second place to his commitment to the unit he serves and his duty to fallen comrades.

Author Description

Jed Hart was a Navy pilot before being an executive and writer. He served at sea during the Indonesian Confrontation of Malaysia, learned to fly with the United States Navy in Florida and flew combat assaults with the US Army's 135th assault helicopter company in Vietnam. After the Navy he flew and instructed on helicopters in New Guinea, Australia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Scotland, then joined Shell International to work in Brunei as a pilot, in Peru as head of security, and then London as a Shell Group Aviation Adviser. After leaving Shell he became Aviation Manager for BHP before founding Hart Aviation, a company operating in sixty countries when it was sold in 2013. He now divides his time between Melbourne and Byron Bay where he writes, spends time with family and friends, goes fishing and plays croquet. Jed is co-author of the non-fiction book Wings of Gold that documents the training of young Australian Navy pilots in Pensacola, Florida. He is the author of the Jake Hunt action adventure series books: Without Warning, Block 33 and Just Reward, published by Feather Knight Books.
