In DAR & Earth: Evolution, the final installment of the DAR & Earth series, Aelish finds herself held captive by King Cardissius in the Kingdom of Yasteron. While imprisoned, she uncovers things she could never have known otherwise about the king and the kingdom itself. But can she survive the unimaginable conditions of her imprisonment to effect any meaningful changes in Yasteron?
Meanwhile, DAR is severely polarized. Earth born Head Council Members want to directly retaliate against Yasteron for abducting Aelish on a peace mission. Isabela has stepped back from her work and is undergoing mental health treatment in a psychiatric facility. But when she discovers what's happened to Aelish, she experiences a psychotic break. Andrew Devereux, her partner on the LECCS vaccine, finally convinces her to accompany him on a worldwide tour to promote the vaccine. Vaccination rates remain abysmally low and time is running out. The overall global temperature is very close to flipping the switch on the deadly climate syndrome, poised to extinct humanity.
Worlds apart and still estranged, can Aelish and Isabela find a way to save humanity from the climate crisis, as well as find a way back to each other?
Athena M. Kaiman is the author of the fantasy series, DAR & Earth, rooted in accurate historical and scientific facts, with an emphasis on climate change and female empowerment. Ms. Kaiman worked in the male-dominated world of politics, first as a grassroots organizer and ultimately as a press secretary and speechwriter. She hopes to inspire the younger generations to lay bare the blame for their dying world at the feet of the adults who allowed it. She considers herself one of those who allowed it and writing this series is her way of repaying that debt.
