Book Details

Biagio Martini is a successful lawyer. But he fears thunderstorms, and the memory of what happened in the old house by the river, when he was a child, corrodes his soul. Agata Rubino, on the other hand, is a fearless and courageous woman. She fears nothing as she hunts down the one who destroyed her life. Biagio and Agata do not know each other, they have never met; they do not know that their destinies are about to intertwine in an inexorable way.

Author Description

Gianluca Arrighi (born 3 October 1972) is an Italian writer and criminal lawyer. Arrighi released his first crime novel, "Vincolo di sangue" in 2012. In the same year, Italy's top commercial broadcaster Mediaset interviewed Gianluca Arrighi as one of the eight best Italian crime writers. With "L'inganno della memoria", published in March 2014, Arrighi brought to life the fictional character Elia Preziosi, a Rome-based enigmatic and aloof public prosecutor. Elia Preziosi featured again in two of Arrighi's following thriller novels: namely, "Il confine dell'ombra" and "A un passo dalla follia". "Oltre ogni verità" is his first novel starring Jader Leoni. Between 2020 and 2021, he published the novels "Intrigo in Costa Verde" and "Sulle orme del brivido". On 17 June 2022 the thriller "La casa sul fiume" was released, for which the filmmaking rights have been sold. The graphic novel of the same name was adapted in 2023 from Arrighi's novel "L'inganno della memoria", featuring the investigations of the fictional character Elia Preziosi.
