Michael and his best friend are at summer camp surrounded by spooky woods. Some of their fellow campers are doing all they can to win the camp competitions. The taste of victory becomes so sweet for Michael, he can't stop bending the rules...even as his guildty conscience grows heavy. The plot twists and sharp dialogue in this story help children clearly see the many real consequences of cheating and deception.
Tony Penn, a native New Yorker, teaches French at a New York City arts high school. He received a B.A. from New York University, and also holds an M.A. in education. Tony is currently pursuing another graduate degree - a master of fine arts in creative writing. He has also taught reading and English at the elementary and middle school levels.
