Book Details

The word hippotherapy makes many people unfamiliar with it think of hippos. But hippotherapy is done with a horse, not a hippopotamus. Several types of therapists use this unique form of therapy to treat patients from the back of a horse! Learning how to use hippotherapy to treat patients takes a lot of time and hard work. But many caregivers and patients alike see the benefits it can provide. Part of the series They Do That for a Living?, Hippotherapy: Using Horses for Healing explores the history of this unusual career and what it takes to become a therapist who uses hippotherapy.

Author Description

Jenny is a children's author who writes books to delight, educate, and help children meaningfully engage their world and relationships. She is also a substitute teacher (degree in Elementary Education). Time with children makes her a better writer. Also, is life without children really living?! Not for her.
Jenny enjoys writing for the educational market (I'll list books available on this website as they come out), but also enjoys writing picture books, poetry, and chapter books. She is constantly experimenting with new forms of writing. Some of her writing is lyrical, some is humorous, some is expository, but all of it is part of a fun creative journey!
When Jenny is not writing, you'll likely find her enjoying my wonderful family, or our mountain scenery in Colorado. She also enjoys making music and reading.
