Book Details

The book you'll read covers over 30 years of guiding hunters in Alaska, yet it only scratches the surface of what could be told.

Author Description

I have guided hunts for Dali sheep, brown bear, grizzly bear, black bear, glacier bear, moose, caribou, mountain goat, black-tail deer, wolf, and wolverine. I never missed a fall or spring hunting season in the 37 years I lived in Alaska. I have been a firearms enthusiast since an early age and am an avid reloader. I have been able to observe most every rifle action type and cartridge caliber in use on Alaskan big game. I have owned and reloaded for most all of them myself and have a good working knowledge of what works and what does not on the big game species in Alaska. I am a reserve deputy with the Boundary County sheriff's office in North Idaho and serve as their bear expert. I teach bear safety to law enforcement, schools, churches, sporting clubs, and any public organization that requests it. I am an Evangelical Christian, and these opportunities have given me a platform to witness when I tell the story of my survival from a brown bear attack on Kodiak Island in the fall of 2000, which I wouldn't have survived without the hand of God bringing me through it.
