Support the implementation of the Guided Math framework with this user-friendly professional guide written by Guided Math author, Laney Sammons. This resource provides school leaders (coaches, principals, curriculum directors, teacher leaders, etc.) with user-friendly strategies for supporting teachers as they embark on teaching components of the Guided Math framework in their classrooms. Highlights include how to use the professional learning community model effectively when implementing Guided Math, tips for creating a strategic plan for improving students' mathematics achievement, sample implementation models, sample assessments, and planning and implementation tools.

Teacher Created Materials develops innovative and imaginative materials and services for students, worldwide. Everything we do is created by teachers, for teachers and students, to make teaching more effective and learning more fun.

Once upon a time in 1977...Rachelle Cracchiolo started Teacher Created Materials with a friend and fellow teacher. Both were eager to share their ideas and passion for education with other classroom leaders. What began as a hobby, selling lesson plans to local stores, became a part-time job after a full day of teaching, and eventually blossomed into a nonstop opportunity to develop and grow Teacher Created Materials as a full-service company, and a welcome and familiar name in every classroom. The story continued in 2004 with the launch of Shell Education and the introduction of professional resources and classroom application books designed to support Teacher Created Materials curriculum resources. Today, Teacher Created Materials is one of the most recognized names in educational publishing around the world...and the story continues educationally ever after.

This book is a powerful addition to Laney Sammons' Guided Math series, exploring the topic from a leadership perspective. It tackles the difficulties usually encountered with large scale changes head on, and outlines the roles played by administration, coaches, and professional learning communities in the change process. The 9-month Guided Math Learning Plan for Professional Learning Communities is a blueprint for successfully implementing Guided Math. While the target audience for the book is school leadership, a classroom teacher or grade level team wishing to implement Guided Math could definitely use this resource to guide their course.
