Dr.A. Padmanabhan, one of the authors and editors, has served as Reader in Zoology for 36 years. He has rich experience in teaching and research in Environmental science. He has done research on the biology and behavior of feral cockroaches and reported three new species to the world record at Boston, USA through his research at Azhagar Hill tropical rainforest, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He started and served as the Coordinator of "Pirantha Munn" ("The Mother Earth"), a youth organization for addressing environmental issues with practical solutions.He worked in various capacities as captain of the National Cadet Corps, Coordinator NAAC, Member Secretary, Academic Council, Dean Academic Affairs, Coordinator for the participatory and online MBA Programmer of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Similar, the other contributing authors have rich experience in teaching. research and administration at UG, PG, and research levels. The authors have done research on a galaxy of research topics, like insect pest control. Insect Biology and Behavior, Bioremediation, Bioenergetics, Fish Toxicology, Millipede Composting, biological control, and waste recycling. Some of the authors have served as a research guide for scholars in their pursuit of a Ph.D. One of the authors, Dr.P.S.Navaraj, was honored with the "Best Teacher Award" by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
