Polka Dots on Cotton Candy is the debut poetry collection of Mansha Bhatia. The 36 poems included in the book, categorized into various themes, explore with precision the diverse subtleties and nuances of life. The subject of the poems ranges from the visible and harsh realities of life as well as a society such as people's hesitancy regarding mental health to the more intangible and enigmatic experiences of life. The author finds her greatest inspiration in nature and therefore includes quite a few poems on the theme, interpreting it uniquely and creatively in each of the poems. The author often amalgamated elements of nature with her personal thoughts and feelings. The book also explores the elements intrinsic to one's journey of love and heartbreak and touches upon subjects as abstract and mystifying as time. Author Description

Mansha Bhatia is a 21- year-old, Delhi-based writer. She is an English Literature graduate from Delhi University's Indraprastha College for Women. Mansha has been writing since she was 10 years old. Having experimented with different forms of writing she decided to begin her career with poetry. Polka Dots on Cotton Candy is her first published collection of poetry. Mansha hopes to publish more works of poetry in the future as well as experiment with other forms of writing. Her writing is inspired by her observation of the world as well as the experiences of those around her. Apart from being a writer, Mansha is an avid reader and runs a YouTube channel called 'My Bookshelf' where she shares her love for books with the world.
