Padya Guruvu Sri Kollarapu Prakash Rao Sharma (USA) is a writer, poet, and teacher dedicated to the promotion of Telugu padya sahityam. He founded the renowned "Manthani People Padya Sadhana What'sApp group," in the name of his birth place Manthani in India. Using the social media he has been teaching aspiring Telugu poets how to craft "Chandobaddha padya rachana". Most of his students are working professionals across the globe (India, USA, Canada, Qatar, Singapore, Malaysia, and more). Under his guidance, several of his students wrote and some are writing Shatakam books; some are teaching Chandassu and contributing Telugu poems to magazines, and also participating in Avadhanamulu. In recognition of his dedication to the promotion of Telugu padya sahityam, Sri Kollarapu Prakash Rao Sharma received several awards including the prestigious "Pratibha Puraskar" Award from the highly revered Telugu Academy, honored by well-regarded TANA (Telugu Association of North America, USA), featured in famous newspapers, magazines, and was interviewed on the eTV Telangana Television in India. Sri Kollarapu Prakash Rao Sharma is living in the USA since 1976. His education is B.E.(E.C.E), India and M.S.(E.E.), USA. In the past he worked in computer engineering, satellite communication, ASIC design, and IT. Currently he works for the US Federal (Central) government in Cyber Security Management field. He holds prestigious certifications such as PMP, CISSP, and ITIL. He plans to retire soon so as to devote all his time writing, teaching, and promoting Telugu padyamulu worldwide.
