She has taught both as an independent consultant and as owner and operator of three health and weight control centers and a Bosch kitchen store. Jane has taught many cooking, nutrition, food storage, and preparedness classes based upon simple, practical methods of food preparation using basic foods. She believes in eating well without spending all day in the kitchen. For many years she has encouraged personal and family preparedness. Jane is the wife of Jay W. Merrill and mother of six children. They have twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-eight great-grandchildren, and still counting! Bio 2 of 2: 'Karen M. Sunderland': Karen M. Sunderland is an author and presenter and has a bachelor's degree in family and consumer science, with an emphasis in nutrition. She has taught many cooking, food storage, and preparedness classes, encouraging all to be prepared for the unexpected. Karen has coauthored 3 cookbooks with her mother Jane, and is the author of one cookbook on her own. Karen is the wife of Merrill Sunderland and mother of six children. They have sixteen grandchildren with more to come.
